Dinner was a great experience. Food was wonderful. Pasta was perfect. Will go back for more.

My boyfriend's dinner selection was delicious. I was able to have a few bites. Mine was okay. Last time we had dinner there, my meal was chef's kiss! Decor on point along with the music. Very romantic and priced nicely for an evening out.

Wonderful ambience and super amiable service. The menu was crisp and delicious. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. Fair rates and generous meals. Great work.

Decor and feel of the place is dated (cheap dusty plastic flowers), food for price not that great. Food seemed to be tossed together not much flavor, cheap ingredients, only thing seasoned were the mashed potatoes (store bought pre-made?) Some of the staff not very friendly. There's better out there.

They serve large dishes and for affordable pricing. very welcoming staff members. They never disappoint.

Love the cheese ravioli with brown sugar butter and sage sauce

One of the best fried calamari appetizers I've ever had. Also, all their soups are tasty, fresh, and homemade. For lunch I'm pretty much stuck on ordering the fried calamari and cup of soup - I like it that much. I'm going to have to go back soon and order the calamari steak. Had that a couple times and it really was tops! Tender, yummy, and not chewy.

Rude, slow staff. Brought the wrong order, then looked shocked when I asked for what I wanted. Brought the right order and it had a hair in it. Never replaced my food. My rare night out totally ruined.

This is absolutely one of the most pleasant restaurants in the region. Every time I come to this place I am exceedingly happy. They preserve their high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they serve. You definitely will enjoy this this place. Highly recommended.

My favorite italian in martinez. Only thing is parking lot is not safe i got my window busted once.

Usually have loved this place but last two visits, everything okay. Both times we were a larger group and seated at table in back where you can smell the bathroom:(((. Service just okay. Meal okay. Maybe it's time for them to review quality and service and bathroom smell!

Have been disappointed with the lack of a nice Italian restaurant in the Martinez area until I found this hidden gem. Very nice, clean, fun spot, that is not too loud and busy, but not too quiet. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is fast.Most importantly, the food is spot on. Italian food is italian food, but some restaurants set a much higher bar than others. Mangia Bene is definitely on par with some of my other favorite Italian restaurants throughout the Bay Area. If you like dessert, you'll love this place, with their extensive dessert menu. Bread pudding is to die for.

Great family owned restaurant in Martinez, CA. They have been in business for 23 years, and everyone who works there is related to the original owner. I had the ravioli Al fungi with a balsamic sauce and tiramisu for dessert, in a word both were excellent! The service was prompt, almost a little too quick until I asked them to slow the pace. They have a small but decent wine selection. The portions are ample, I took half of my tiramisu home. The price is moderate for the size of the portions offered. Nice atmosphere with comfortable surroundings. Parking is not an issue. Mangia Bene is molto bene!

I've never had food THIS good in a very long time.Everything was perfect!Thanks for the phenomenal food.Will have to make this a tradition!

Probably the best Italian food we have had anywhere! You wouldn't think it based on the strip mall location but don't let it fool you.

I've been eating here with my friends and family for years and we absolutely love it! It is hands-down the best Italian food in the bay area! I am a super picky eater and this place never disappoints. The bread and dipping sauce they give you to start is always delicious. I have a hard time not over-eating! I usually get the spinach salad with apples and walnuts to start with. It is wonderful! Then I normally get the four cheese ravioli with creamy marinara sauce. It's beyond amazing! I usually try to save some to take home to have for dinner the following day. All the desserts are incredible too, although I'm usually too full to overindulge. The prices are also extremely reasonable and the service is top-notch. I also love that it's right up the street from my house, which makes it super convenient. Mangia Bene is one of my very favorite restaurants and I hope it sticks around forever!

A hidden gem in Martinez. The food here is decent and one of the few places where you can get a pitcher of sparkling water with slices of orange (or lemon). I'm not much of an Italian foodie but will say the food I ate was many notches above Olive Garden. Pasta tasted fresh and their risotto was nicely done. Their Gnocchi was done right and desserts was fresh homemade.

Wow...What can I say. Great Italian food (order the calamari!) Great atmosphere. Clean. Awesome food. What more do you need. Bring a date!

I would give it a five star if I hadn't ordered the tiramisu. It is not flavored with coffee but cinnamon. Like ?????? However, this is a little gem for more than decent pasta and family gathering vibe. They also have an interesting beverage collection.
